Q: Does the Handy Finder have just one tone null (in front) or two (both front and rear).
A: As it comes, with wide-band frequency coverage of 50 - 500 MHz, the Handy Finder
does produce both a front and a rear null. However, with the addition of a 1/4 wave coaxial
cable delay line to one of the two antennas the Handy Finders null reception area changes from
bi-directional to uni-directional. Instructions for this modification are included.
Q: Can this unit be used for locating ELTs?
A: Yes! We have sold hundreds for that specific purpose with very good results.
Q: Can this unit be used for locating electrical noise?
A: We have sold many for that purpose. Results are mixed. About a 50% success rate depending on the actual cause of the noise.
