The Electric Chopper

Raw Materials

This is where it begins. This Honda 185 carcass will be stripped, chopped up, ground on, welded and painted.

In the end, all that will remain of this bike are the wheels, the speedo and some suspension components.

We are using 1" Square tubing and 3/4" round pipe for the fabrication of the the frame and new suspension components. It will be tacked to a piece of 1/4" plate steel; heated; bent and welded.

Here is the seat. It's pretty comfortable.

Here is the powerplant for the bike. Using technology licensed from Lynch Motors, this Briggs and Stratton ETEK Electric Motor weighs only 22 pounds and develops 20 horsepower.

The Alltrax programmable motor controller will deliver 300 amps for five minutes and 100 amps for 24 hours.
